Ich orte dich, ich kann dich immer finden,
Ich sehe, fühle, hör dich gut;
Du kannst vor mir nicht mehr verschwinden:
Ich bin dir auf der Spur, sei auf der Hut.
Ich sehe dich auf jeder Lichtung,
Du tarnst dich falb in jedem Rindenloch;
Ich folge dir in jede Richtung:
Du siehst dich vor, ich seh dich doch.
Ich fasse dich, ich schau dir in die Karten,
Du weißt es, du entkommst mir nicht;
Du wirst mich bald nicht mehr verraten –
Ich spüre, rieche, atme dich.

ti fiuto, ti ho quasi raggiunto;
è inutile che tenti di fuggire, ti sento:
il tuo cuore batte mille colpi al minuto.
Ti localizzo, a trovarti riesco sempre,
ti vedo, ti sento, ti avverto;
non puoi più sparire per sempre
sono sulle tue tracce, stai all’erta.
A ogni radura ti vedo,
ti mimetizzi falba in ogni covo;
in ogni direzione ti seguo:
stai in guardia, ma io ti osservo.
Le tue carte guardo, ti catturo
sai che non mi sfuggirai;
presto più non mi tradirai
ti sento, ti avverto, ti respiro.
