Miodrag Pavlović was born 1928, in Novi Sad. He graduated on the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade and worked shortly as physician. He was director of drama of the National Theater in Belgrade. For two decades he was editor at the Publishing House Prosveta, Belgrade. Poetry and essays translated to all European and to several Oriental languages. A regular member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA) and the European Academy of Poetry (Luxembourg). Miodrag Pavlović lives alternately in Tuttlingen (Germany) and Belgrade.
