BEI Dao

BEI Dao

Ali Abdollahi

Love song

英文

I hide your portrait
in a closet with no holes
your dress
in the dresser
I place the mirror on the bracket
upside down

remains of your hair
are dancing on the windowsill
in direction of the wind

in my room
there is always
a vacant chair

Mohammad Hossein Abedi

The hungry earth

英文

The earth
is hungry
I fear
but our love is strong

It passes a few years from last time we met
People are napping in sickness of the city
and smell of cedar and camphor washes the living
Everyday we look inside the graves
just like a common birth
The building with no door and no love
Is that possible to destroy it?

Look a little around yourself
Do you assume that where you are in,
the cross is nothing more than two crossing lines?

The dead are masters of question
and we are unable to answer

But I fear again
The earth
is hungry

Interpretation

Standing over the windows
they rob
our dreams
opening a window to our dreams
they rob

they take it to the closet
and our dreams
never come to an interpretation

Alireza Behnam

Hanging from the trees of Babylon

英文

At the end
I'll come down
in my a thousand years form
hanging from the towers of Cheghazanbil
and there is something within me
which throws language to the battlements of the tower
you will praise me
that’s clear
in form of an oldman
hanging from the trees of Babylon
Athens will rise within me
and Paris
and Perspolis
and many many languages
Cut me to pieces!
every piece will come as a word
and will encircle your eyes
Hurray is within me
and rising of the language beyond Pluto
and Arthemis`s herd
and rebellion of disobedient words
the whole are within me
and I,
in my a thousand years form
will be thrown
from the virgins painted on temples walls
to the shadows emerging from your computer
and being thrown is within me
ask me!
ask me about the future
I'll reply in Babylonian

Winter, Jerusalem

Steffen Popp

an meinem Fenster, kein Fluch

Alireza Behnam

Guernika

英文

What a joy is my day    what a joy
when "Karl Waters" sings
lambs of the crying out of dizziness
make an Ascent
and a slant woman flatten a rope on the Globe
what a joy is today     at least just today
Karl Waters makes a lift from the corners
and at the madhouse some people alms cookies
the crying pushes towards conjectural hands    dizzy hands
Guernika!    Someday a woman raised a rope
Guernika!    Paper! The latest news
Guernika!    "Karl Waters" escapes this on top of the hands
there is a rope over the Globe in black
and a woman comes back from Guernika
what a joy is my day    what a joy

Mohammad Hossein Abedi

Always after death

英文

Leave the mirror!
When you walk between corpses
forget your face
And remember a kid with starry clothes
who had foreseen your future
and had drawn poetry in his notebook for your every moment
Read the texts!

Memorize your birth date
And date of your falling in love
And the year in which the wind dreamed of you

Look here!
See how the moments carry you on hands
When you walk between the corpses forget about the mirror

Always there is someone dreaming of you
Sunning your red cloth
Bringing water for you
Always after death someone comes to meet you.

I began in a half
And hanging gardens over your head
In my half burned halves

I began in a half

Burns in me to the end
It is my half that is burning
From the gardens of beginning in a half

On shoulders of my half
Burns slowly

It’s my half that is burning

The name of sky I burned by
And the earth
The name of the town
The name of me
The name of you
The name of every poem in the world
I burned by to my half

It’s my half that is burning

Alireza Behnam

What?

英文

What a war it is when the earth looks at “what”
The trumpet is playing like the ashes remaining from the old wars
On the ruined magnificent chateaux
And it remains from the “it is war”
                                             Like ever
Her ringlets rise from the petrol tubes   from the rivers ruined by the colors of war
And fixes to a gaze from behind which gazes in to the labyrinth of tubes
It remains from the “it is war” and goes on towards falling
A big bomb stands above and doubts to fall
It is a doubting bomb, it slips from her ringlets falls between the petrol tubes
The world’s violence rests coldly on her shoulders
From the tubes rising from her ringlets
Falls the “it is war”, falls the missed legs
The eyes loosened from the skulls
The earth is like ever between her ringlets
What a war it is like ever!
And the falling is falling from her ringlets
It is falling to say “what?”

Russische Einheiten

Steffen Popp

Eine Art Liebe, zwischen den Blocks
mit Schneeohren: unwirklich, außer der Zeit
liegen die Steine unter dem Eis
die gefrorene Bremsspur, die Pirouette
                               des Betrunkenen –
in meinem Herz

parts of speech

war is a noun and so is peace. uranium is a noun like armchair. plutonium and
perspiration are both nouns and each has four syllables. bliss and terror are also
nouns.

develop is a verb and so is hurry, and race, which is also a noun, like arms.
     another verb is explode.

beautiful and ingenious are both adjectives. they add information to nouns,
        e.g. beautiful perspiration, ingenious uranium.

slowly, quickly, immediately, courageously are adverbs and make
verbs more interesting, e.g. they exploded courageously

they is a pronoun and takes the place of a noun. like you, we, he,
she, us, them. anyone you know could be a pronoun.

and is a conjunction and as such joins everything together in one big long chain of
a sentence. but in some situations it is advisable to replace the ands with a series
of full stops

if you can stand at the right angle on the front steps of santiago central library on a hot and sunny day when you are protesting against state torture; if you can stand at the edge of the group just as the riot police start to aim the water cannon at the protest, you might be able to catch a glimpse of an extremely small dazzle of a rainbow where the streams of water intersect with the sun’s rays. if you can, try to notice this dazzle before you fully comprehend the force of the water. but do not open your mouth to marvel at the momentary beauty or to moisten your dry throat, or to contemplate the immensity of the state’s thirst.

Steffen Popp

Hotelsituation, langes Liegen

Steffen Popp

Herzhoheit, Neon und langsamer Umschlag dieser Waren
– irgendwie nachdenken, irgendwie wach bleiben –

so wach, in seinem Schlaf, unser geduldiges Fleisch
kommuniziert mit den Flüssen. Kriechstrom, nahes Ufer

Coming Home

Antigone Kefala

What if
getting out of the bus
in these abandoned suburbs
pale under the street lights,
what if, as we stepped down
we forgot who we are
became lost in this absence
emptied of memory
we, the only witness of ourselves
before whom
shall the drama be enacted?

Ceremony

Antigone Kefala

She came up the stairs
in the thin white dress
with flowers in her hair,
unseeing
splashing through
the milky afternoon.
This exquisite fear
that advanced on all sides
a sea
to which she could not
give herself.

Blood

Antigone Kefala

In the metallic light
the pavements
were rivers of blood
flooding the gutters
this hot, transparent liquid
made of silk
live, breathing on the stone
trying to defend itself
from the invisible killers
that were watching
watching this magnificence
this red flowering
shrinking, freezing
vanishing into the ground.

Betonstufen, die Meere

Steffen Popp

Futter in Säcken, Munitionskisten

Beer Garden

Antigone Kefala

The man
kept attacking the steak
as if a live animal
liquid ice
running on him
through the sparse
greenery.

Outside, the heat
brushed against us
with fur hands.
