Vajusid

Settled
Low clouds settled to the chimney and the roof overnight, down to the ground to wrap your dry roots in cool fleece. Branches scraped the windows like messengers from the dead you’ve turned your back upon.
Morning awakes in darkness. Aching, you enter the empty museum of a new day. It all wants to gradually reappear on your bodily screen: dull contours of objects, the damp scent of an unheated kitchen, the first sounds. You let them come and thus surrender your distance to the day.
