Die Häuser, in denen ich nicht mehr lebe,
sind bis auf die Unterwäsche nackt.
Die Bäume erröten, weil sie keinen Mund haben,
dem Vergangenheit entströmen könnte.
Die Stadt stieg schon am Abend
einige Stockwerke ab. Ich sitze da,
umgeben vom Raum,
der mich in dem Maß verkleinert, in dem ich
meine Ideen in ihm erkennen kann.
Das Hemd umgreift mich kindlich und sanft.
Das gerade richtige Maß des Guten
würgt dich ab, von Innen
durch deine Ohren schiebt es die entsprossenen Krallen,
Licht nicht gewohnt. Es gab keine
Ankündigungen, und darin verwirklichten sie sich.
Vieles an Sichtbarem bleibt
gesehen. Mehr Zeit brauche ich
nicht, will aber doch
etwas tun. Etwas erzählen
und im Gesagten einen Verbündeten haben.
Solange ich verlasse, bin ich lebendig.

Houses I don’t inhabit anymore
are stripped to their underwear.
The trees blush,
for lack of a mouth
to pour out the past.
By evening, the city has
sunken a few floors.
The surrounding space makes me smaller
with every idea trying to enter it.
My shirt’s fit is childlike and soft.
Just the right amount of good
will suffocate you, thrusting through your ears
its claws, unaccustomed to light.
Precisely that there were no predictions
made them come true. Much of what can be
seen remains seen. I don’t need more
time, but I want something
to do. Something to say
and to make an ally out of it.
As long as I’ll always be leaving, I’ll live.

Le case nelle quali non vivo più
sono spoglie sino alla biancheria intima.
Gli alberi arrossiscono perché non hanno la bocca
da cui si potrebbe riversare il passato.
La città la sera è scesa qualche
piano più in giù. Sto seduto,
circondato dallo spazio
che mi rimpicciolisce, per quanto in esso
riconosco le mie idee.
La camicia mi si afferra in modo infantile e leggero.
Proprio la giusta misura del bene
ti frena, attraverso le tue orecchie
da dentro spinge i suoi artigli,
le luci poco avvezze. Non c’era
alcun preannuncio, ed in questo si è
realizzato. Gran parte di quanto visibile rimane
visto. Non ho più bisogno
di tempo, ma qualcosa comunque voglio
fare. Raccontare qualcosa
e in ciò che esprimo ottenere un alleato.
Sino a che verrò meno, sarò vivo.
