Dimitra Christodoulou was born in Athens in 1953. She studied Law and Literature science and was working as a school teacher. Her first collection of poetry was published in 1974, followed by many books of poetry and also collections of stories.

A selection of her poems have been translated into different languages and published in Greek as well as in international magazines and anthologies.

Dimitra Christodoulou lives in Athens.
