Besteigung des Berges Mu
Im linken Tal wohnen die Manen. Die Namen.
Sie stapfen einher voller Grimm. Dunkel sind ihre Daumen
vom Drehen der alten Fässer. Der alten Flüche. Schwer
bleibt es, das Dorf zu verlassen. Eingehegtes. Und was
es draußen zu sehen gäbe: Gnome. Gräben. Gestrüpp?
Fußangeln schleppt man herum. Die Anger wie geleimt.
Das stete Gebrumm der Libellen mit nur drei Flügeln. Brut.
Wann rücken die Echos ab. Wann treten die Nadeln im
steten Atmen zurück. Und aus. Und ein. Undsoweiter.
Die Zwischenblicke ins Tal: wahrnehmen und zerknüllen.
Murmeln von Rinnsalen: Lass
ab lass weg lass ziehn.
Ein Weg hebt an.
Fast geschoren
gehn Aufwinde nahe. Vorbei.

Ascending the Mountain of Mu
The Manes live in the valley to the left. The names.
They trudge along full of wrath. Their thumbs are smudged
from the rolling of the old barrels. The old curses. It remains
difficult to leave the village. Embedded. And what
could be seen beyond: Gnomes. Ditches. Undergrowth?
Mantraps drag one about. The village square is as glued.
The constant hum of the three-winged dragonfly. Brooding.
When the echoes leave. When the needles recede
into steady breathing. And out. And on. And so on.
The intermediate sight into the valley: perceive and crumple up.
The murmurs of rivulets: give up
leave off let go.
One path leads up.
Nearly shorn,
go up winds nearby. Gone.
