cibule

v najtesnejšej priliehavej blízkosti
dychtivo sústreďujem zvyšky svetla
ktoré uľpeli v ryhách a záhyboch kože
a nižšie, v ťažkej tme sedimentujúcej pri dne
ukladám vzácne cukry do naleštených cibúľ
a všetko naraz márnotratne premrhám
na poplašný zákmit svetiel
a varovné zajačanie sirén
keď sa z rozťatej kože do ticha
vyhrnie záplava kriklúnskych tulipánov
celé stádo tých perfídnych tvorov
ktoré som v detstve odvážne stojac
zoči-voči obrovskému záhonu
jediným švihnutím prúta
masovo demaskovala

onions

in the closest immediate proximity
i’m eagerly collecting the remains of light
that got stuck in the creases and folds of skin
and down in the heavy darkness settling at the bottom
i store precious sugars in polished onions
and spend everything wastefully at once
upon the alarm signal flashing from the lighthouse
and the warning scream of sirens
when a flood of glaring tulips
gushes from the slashed skin into the silence
great hordes of these perfidious creatures
which in my childhood years, bravely confronting
a huge flowerbed face-to-face,
with a single swish of a twig
I used to unmask en masse.
