Vrouwkje Tuinman published four novels and six poetry collections. Her work has been published in English and German. Vrouwkje performs regularly at festivals and literary events in the Netherlands and abroad, mainly in the UK. Furthermore, she writes articles, columns and reviews for several newspapers and magazines and clients in the music world. She acts as moderator and presenter and teaches poetry and prose writing. In 2020, her collection Lijfrente was awarded De Grote Poëzieprijs 2020 - the annual prize for the best poetry publication in the Dutch language.
