Meritxell Cucurella-Jorba (Pierola, 26 September 1973), the dígraf del desitx. Incorrection and non-indifference. Poet, playwright, translator and firecracker. 
She came up with the idea for (H)original, a space devoted to poetry in the heart of Barcelona that has been and continues to be a benchmark. She has also organised festivals featuring risky poetry and high-voltage creativity: (per)versos, PARNÀS (Poesia Apassionada Rimada-I-No Àcrata i Salvatge), Delicadeses · art de tros, among others, which have been recognised and received awards on more than one occasion.
She has published eight books of poems and been included in several anthologies. She has also published plays and children’s stories. She has translated plays, poetry and fiction. She got her start by winning the Young Creators Award in 2000; then she won the Pollença Poetry Prize in 2008 and the Jordi Domenèch Award for Poetry Translation in 2016. Her work has been translated into Italian, French, English, Ukrainian and Turkish. She has created poetry shows and collaborated with huge musicians. 
She has given readings all over the Catalan Countries and Europe. In 2001, she participated in the Biennial of Young Artists (Sarajevo). In 2003, in the II Poetry Slam in Rome. In 2006, she took part in the Internationale Slam! Revue · Internationales Literaturfestival in Berlin. In 2008, she was one of the poets in Le Printemps des Poètes in Luxembourg, and returned to Berlin that year, for Poesiefestival. In 2011, she went on tour in Ukraine and participated in the International Literary Festival (Lviv). In 2019, she took part in the Istanbul Poetry and Literature Festival.
