al şimdi bu domuzu biraz sen gezdir
domuzun günahı yok üstünde yazanlardan
ipini gevşek tut saygıyı hak eder boynu herkesin
ve zinhar küçümseme
kibir incitir onun pembe etini

köşedeki dilenci sevmiyor bizi
sabahı öğleden ayıran endişeyi
verevine yürünen geceleri sevmiyor
sözcükler bırakıyoruz avcuna gelip geçerken
everything will be ok… trust us…
tutkuyla istiyoruz o huzmeleri
yaprakları tersine bir derinlikte deneyen
bedenle ilgisiz bir cinsellikle
bu yüzden kara bir kuş oldu gölgemiz
dallara değil köklere tüneyip durduk
durduk ve durmak bizde biriksin dedik
bir yakın dövüş silahı olarak aşk dedik
öğrendik toprağı suyla harmanlayan simyayı
çünkü bir camgöz gerekti bazılarımıza
çünkü açık yaralara dikiş
o vakte dek perdeliymiş gibi elimiz ayağımız
parkta oluşmuş gibi parmaklarımız
bir yol tutup çıkardık mumun can ipliğini

evler buluta girdi al şimdi bu ölümü tekrarla
organlarını bağışlamış bir akordeonun sesi
herhangi bir sokakta duyulabilir
yazan ellerimiz vardır yeraltını ve gerçeği
torture shames us all… save our bacon…
uyanık bir bilincin ağrısıdır dün devrettik
kimse görmezden gelemez bölünüyor atomları hiçin bile
keşfettik yağmura asılınca çalıyor göğün çanı
silmek istiyorlar hatırlıyoruz
ne ayıp bir çiçeğin uluorta açılması
silmek istiyorlar yeniden yazıyoruz
her çağın mürekkebidir kan

your son is gonna die in the next war … habeas corpus…
dinliyoruz herkes konuştuğu gibidir bir radyo oyununda
üç kadın çok yaşlı bir kadını yıkıyorlar
fazlasıyla hoyrat hırpalaya hırpalaya
sıcak su çözüyor katılaşmış bir aklı
derisinin kat yerlerinde günler
ve sözcükler hayatın uyarılmasından başka nedir
all religions divide… fear builds walls…
kibritin tutuştuğu an kadar yoğun ve süreksizdik
oysa ince adamlardı tüccarlar
gözlerimizden yüzük taşı olur mu bakar bakmaz anladılar
atıldık ateşe elbet semender de değildik
bir çengelli harbe olarak şiir
ve hepsinden evlası gülümsemektir dedik
diren dedik damgaladık onun pembe etini
al şimdi bu domuzu biraz sen gezdir

английский

now you steer the pig for awhile
the pig is blameless for the words on its body
keep the rope loose
everyone's neck deserves mercy
and never ever disparage
conceit injures its pink flesh

the beggar in the corner doesn't like us
or the morning qualms that hold back the noon hour
or the night walkers veering off he doesn't like
we leave words in his palm passing by
everything will be ok trust us
what can words do besides arouse the tongue
a lively fire crackling with pinecones hazelnut shells
an evening watched through a lover's earring
what can words do besides arouse absences
light streams through the branches
leaves held rapt in the inverse depth
we want the light the branches the leaves
with a desire unnative to the body
this is why our shadows turn into black birds
we perch not on branches but on roots
we stand and say
let all standing gather in us
we choose love as close combat weapon
learn the alchemy of sand and water
because some of us need a glass-eye
others stitches for their open wounds
as if until then we had webbed feet and hands
as if our fingers had just formed in the park
to remove the candle's vital thread

houses swallowed in the smoke cloud
now you relive the killings
the accordion is a plasma bank
its songs heard in any street in the city
and our writing hands
write the underground and the truth
torture shames us all save our bacon
we divide among us the severity of consciousness
even in nothingness atoms are splitting
if you pull on the rain the sky bell rings
they want to erase we remember
oh for shame a flower blooming in plain sight
they want to erase we write again
blood is the ink of the ages
those who sip tea from ornate cups don't know
the grey stench of water flowing between cut stones
that's why we've turned into black birds
at the very instance our shadows met time
we stood and said
let all standing gather in us
music as arbalest dance as chainmail armor
was it just then or later
that we called the rose by another name
pill-bugs jabbed with pikes and clubs
could you count how many could you count justice
what remains of us
               is much more than us

there are no birds
only their shadows on the stones
after any which war the dead don't return
wind chimes tangled among the tree branches
adorned with streamers ribbons pinwheels
was it so the wind could stir more things
or because we couldn't adorn the wind
your son is gonna die in the next war habeas corpus
we listen to voices characters in a radio play
three women are washing down an older woman
tussling roughshod her pale arms her pale arms
hot water breaks down hardened thoughts
days caught in the folds of her flesh
what can words do besides arouse life
all religions divide fear builds walls
we were as keen and transient as a match flare
yet those merchants were men of good taste
one glance and they knew if our eyes could be signet stones
we were tossed in the fire we were no salamanders
poetry as scythe
best of all is to smile
resist we said and stamped its pink flesh
now you steer the pig for awhile

tapıncak

турецкий | Nilay Özer

dünyada bir yer burası yaptığını beğendin mi
kemik tozu kokusunu

bir at arabasının demir tekerlekleri
yok olmayı bekliyorsa bir bahçede işte bu
yüzünün kalıpları yepyeni büstler için
gölgeler meydanları çevirdiyse bu
ve bir gözün ölülerde kaldıysa öpülürken
ne anladın acaba ne anladın
denizin karayı eşitlediği gelden
karanın denizi eşitlediği gitten
sandalların çekek yeri gibi az yüksek
dünyada bir yer burası yerini beğendin mi...

The altar

английский

here is some place in the world
did you like what you did
the smell of bone dust
the freckled leaves of an old begonia your skin
eddying at your hair follicles each time you are kissed
these did you enjoy giving them grief
what have you understood of the proximity of objects
take this tree maybe it shaped itself against this house
maybe both are dying at speeds that cancel each other out
what I wonder what have you understood
of the rocks that seem still while the rivers flow

can this world be made over sure it can
first towns can be built everywhere the dogs bark
then mountains then trains then did you ever like
you who had seen sparrow-hawks freeze in the air
seen the shape of your soul each time you were kissed
grey wolves in the snow the first time you had a mouth
bullet casings spewed from the words you sang
now freeze frame each moment of your fall and watch
listen to your breath tracing lines in the air
this kind of slowness is the measure of your error

if the iron wheels of a horse cart await
decay somewhere in a garden there
they are your face casts for brand new busts
if shadows have ambushed the public squares
if your left eye covets the dead each time you are kissed
what I ask you what have you understood
of the high tide when the sea levels out the land
of the low tide when the land levels out the sea
here slightly higher like the boat launches
here is some place in the world
did you like…

incir çatlatan

турецкий | Nilay Özer

gidip gelip incirlere bakıyorsun
dallarda kalıyor gözlerin göz göz
şehrin ötelerinden
yıkıntıların ve yağmur piyanosu çatıların üstünden
gidip gelip incirlere bakıyorsun
yok mu bir olgunlaşan

incirler kendi sütleriyle
kendi içlerini emziriyor
incirler ham yalvaç henüz
daha var olgunlaşmalarına
sütten kesilmelerine daha çok var

incir ağaçlarının altında neler oluyor sana
bir baygınlık.. diz çözülmesi..
hatırlanmayan bir hatıra..
sesler duyuyor gölgeler görüyorsun
incir ağaçlarının altında yaşam ve ölüm
birbirlerine fısıldayarak senin adını
bakıyorlar gözlerinin içine
      incir çatlatan

güneş kavuruyor kenti
herkes kendisinden yorgun
başkasından yorgun
kum tanelerinin ayırt edilebilir sesi kumsalda
dünya konuşuyor mu seninle neler söylüyor
bir ormandan çıkıp
bir ormana giriyorsun düşünde

incirlere bakıp duruyorsun günlerdir
oysa var daha sütten kesilmelerine
acılaşıyor ağzının safir suyu
bakarken bakarken diş çıkartan iştahın
geçiveriyor incirlerin etine

ne zaman başladın
senden olmayanı sana kendini sunmadan tüketmeye
geldin.. incirlere baktın..
bakışınla çatlattın olmamışın bedenini..
sertti kurudu kaldı dalda
boşluğa damladı sütü
yarıldı bir meme gibi

gökyüzü hikâyeni bilirdi
gökyüzü seni hayatın boyunca izledi
bir ağacın ortasında saklanırdın neden
insan gömüyor ve unutuyor gömdüğü yeri
birinden kaçardın kimden
seni biri incitmişti memeden kesilmeden
incirin sütüne fısıldardın öfkeni
yok ki bir olgunlaşan..

fig splitters

английский

you come and go checking those figs
your eyes caught in the eyelets among branches
from the city’s outskirts
above the ruins the rain-piano roofs
you come and go checking those figs
hasn’t even one ripened yet

figs suckle themselves
feed on their own milk
these figs are green mere fledglings
still time before they ripen
plenty of time before they wean

what happens to you under the fig trees
this dizziness weakness in the knees
a memory unremembered
you hear voices see shadows
under the fig trees life and death
whisper your name to each other
they look into your eyes fig splitters

the sun is scorching the city
everyone’s weary of himself
everyone weary of the other
these sounds of sand grains on the shore
does the world speak to you what all does it say
you walk out of a forest
to walk into a forest in your dream

for days you’ve been checking the figs
yet there’s time before they wean
a sapphire secretion stings your mouth
your hunger teething as it craves the fruits
digs into the figs’ flesh

when did you start consuming
what isn’t yours before it offers itself to you
you came you checked the figs
your gaze tore into the unripe body
it used to be firm it’s dried up on the branch
its milk dripped into the emptiness
it split open like a breast

the sky has known your story
the sky has followed you all your life
you used to hide yourself in a tree hollow -- why do
humans bury then forget where they buried --
you used to run from someone who was it
someone had hurt you before you were weaned
you used to whisper your anger into the fig’s milk
but look not even one has ripened
