Deal

He heaved his shadow

over his shoulder

and started walking

then his shadow heaved him

over its shoulder

and started walking

the deal between the two

is to keep talking

Whoever stops

will have his head smashed

into a thousand pieces

hanging the shadow on a tree

he could walk out of the situation

even then the talking wouldn’t stop

heaving the shadow over its shoulder

the tree will start walking

or the tree’s shadow

will heave the tree over its shoulder

the deal between the two

is to keep walking

Whoever stops

will have its head smashed

into a thousand pieces

possibly the tree will stop

after entrusting the shadow to the wind

even then the sequence won’t change

the shadow on its shoulder

the wind will keep rushing

or the shadow of the wind will heave

the wind over its shoulder

and both will keep rushing on for ever

in each other’s company

the deal between the two

is to keep rushing

Whoever stops

will have its head smashed

into a thousand pieces

the wind will stop for a while

 exhausted

the tree will have already stopped

it’ll keep moving ahead alone

still the journey won’t stop

the deal between the two

is to move ahead

Whoever doesn’t

will have its head smashed

into a thousand pieces

He heaved his shadow

over his shoulder

and started walking . . .
