Subhro Bandopadhyay (Penname of Subhransu Banerjee) has published five full-length poetry collections in Bengali. He received the Indian national award for young writers in 2013 (Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar) for his poetry book Boudho Lekhomala O Onyanyo Shraman. He received the Antonio Machado Poetry Fellowship from the Government of Spain in 2008 and the Poetas de Otros Mundos award in 2014 from Fondo Poético Internacional. He has published four poetry collections in Spain and has been invited to distinguished literary festivals in India and abroad. He participated in four collaborative poetry projects which are later published as books in India and in Spain.

He teaches Spanish as foreign language at Instituto Cervantes New Delhi.
