Margarida Ferra has a college degree in Communication Sciences by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of

the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She has worked at a pizza place, a

newspaper, a contemporary art gallery, at two bookstores and at Palácio

Nacional da Ajuda (a national monument). She now works for a publishing

group, but not the same that, in 2010, published her 32 poems poetry book -

the exact same number of years she had lived by then. Curso Intensivo de

Jardinagem (Intensive Gardening Course) was shortlisted to the award

Correntes d'Escritas 2011, and came out through &etc, an independent

publisher, that does not print second editions of its books.

Margarida Ferra has two children and lives in Lisbon.
