Ikon
dann gehört dir nichts kannst du nichts verlieren

Icon
Danilo’s disappointed face when for the third time
the work of his hands is undone I don’t know
what to tell him get yourself a cat Danilo
then nothing will belong to you and you can’t lose anything
buy some vodka and use it to draw a cross
on the forehead of your cow then she will give you
milk in the morning and the evening your skin will turn white
and you can go out into the snow without any clothes on
but it would be best if you just did none of this and
kept wearing your face as if a person
had only one I have seen you Danilo
on an icon in the suburbs of Kalush
I know that you have wings and that you wager
your children’s fortune in a board game with the angels
and when they try to talk you into a beautiful face
you get up and retreat into the icon of your sorrow
