Rimpelkers

midden in haar dor gezicht.
onuitspreekbare verlangens.

Wrinkled cherry

The lady who lives in the basement is what one might call a wrinkled cherry.
What was once a pout, became a lacquered garland of wrinkles in the centre
of her withered face. If her cheeks weren’t so dry, so gaunt and hollow, but
plump as the glowing jaw of my aunt Julia, I would compare the lady’s pursed lips to an arse, the star of an arse, but lacquered, scarlet, and suffering from a constipation of inexpressible longing.
