Woke up one morning
Went to the market to look for some holy herbs
She swung her voluptuous body in a mesmerising way
Her huge arms swayed to the rhythm of her hips
On this morning her eyes had a shone with a glimmer of hope
she spread her ganja on a glossy magazine removing the seeds
She had never rolled a joint but this morning
she was going to,
Light it
And
Spiff it
She made way across from the market to the shabeen
Where she ordered a black label quart
On its arrival, the waiter was amazed at how this woman kissed the bottle
She told him to bring another quart are 5minutes
As she drowned her beer, she kept smilling
An old man gazed at this young woman
Who at this time was supposed to be doing her house chores but
She was here in the shabeen gulping huge mouth fulls of beer
On finishing her second beer she told the old man to buy tomorrow’s papers
She tipped the waiter and walked out
On her way home she paid a visit to the man who had wanted her
From the very day they had relocated to this neighbour hood
She didn’t care that he didn’t have protection
Or falling pregnant
Lustly they devoured each other
She told him that they could do this all day
She wasn’t in a rush
three more times and a quickie filled her soul
after wiping her in between
she unfolded 2 crispy crumpled 20 dollar bills
threw them on the bed and told this man to buy himself some bathing soap
she left
She took a grinder, plug it on
She grabbed her biggest butcher knife from her kitchen
Which she had purchased in jozi on one of her cross boarder trading trips
And started sharpening it with the heavy duty multipurpose grinder
"She killed him because he had killed her soul many a times.
She never shed tears for him but for the years she did nothing about him abusing her!
Now in prison she serves her time with no regrets.
