Jennifer Kwon Dobbs is a poet, editor, co-translator, and teacher with interests in poetry, creative writing, Asian American literature and literary translation.
Jennifer Kwon Dobbs - born Heo Lee Sujin (허이수진) in Wonju-si, South Korea, and adopted to Oklahoma, USA. - earned an MFA in poetry from the University of Pittsburgh, an MA in English, and a PhD in literature and creative writing from the University of Southern California.

Her poetry collections include Paper Pavilion (White Pine Press, 2007) and Interrogation Room (White Pine Press, 2018), as well as the chapbooks Notes from a Missing Person (2015) and Necro Citizens (in German) (2018).
As a poet and researcher, she has collaborated with international dance choreographers, documentary filmmakers, opera composers, and visual artists on topics such as translation, migration, militarism, and Cold War legacies.

Kwon Dobbs' work has appeared in numerous journals, including Agni, Asian American Literary Review, Blackbird, Crazyhorse, Cimarron Review, Jubilat, Mascara Review, and Poetry International.

Now reunited with her Korean family, she is professor of English at St. Olaf College, where she teaches creative writing, poetry and poetics, and Asian American literature.
