Dragan Jovanović Danilov, born in 1960 in Požega, Serbia. He is a poet, an essayist, and a plastic art critic. He has published twelve collections of poems (last one being Nest over the Abyss, 2005), two novels and books of auto poetical essays Heart of the Ocean. Danilov is one of the most translated Serbian poets. His poetry is duly acknowledged in Italy, France, Great Britain, Bulgaria and Slovakia. He is represented in the Anthology of the New European Poets (Publisher Graywolf Press, Saint Paul, Minnesota, 2008). He was presented with the most prestigious Serbian poetry awards: 'Branko Miljković', 'Meša Selimović', 'Oskar Davičo', 'Branko Ćopić', 'Risto Ratković', Vital Prize. Also, he won the international prize 'Pro Creation'.
