Alejandro Tarrab (poet and essayist) was born on 23.9.1972 in Mexico City. He studied communication sciences at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and Spanish language and literature at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
He is currently doing his doctorate in literature at UNAM. His works include the following: Litane (2006), Degenerativa (Premio Nacional de Literatura Gilberto Owen, 2009), Caída del búfalo sin nombre. Ensayo sobre el suicidio (2015), Maremágnum (2016) y Ensayos malogrados (2016). Parts of his work have been translated into English, French, Portuguese, Czech and Serbian.
