The Desert (7) [A sea of dead...]

A sea of dead people is sinking among the
stones. The sun going down lights up a night
that descends upon the sepulchre of the desert.
Here is the stain like a grave in the earth. The
ship descends, the dead landscapes descend
while the stone-capped waves close over them
and cover them. Here is the night in the middle
of the day, here are the stones that cry out.

Here is the night mist of the desert sinking in
the middle of the day. The dead ship sinks
under the mist of stones and the stones screech.
Chile is shipwrecked and the dry sea closes
over it, the waves of stones close over it and cry
out.

The black rusty night sinks crying out in the
desert.

A ship of disappeared sinks and the dead rocks
close over it and shout. Mireya covers her ears
and puts plastic flowers in front of the grave of
the dead coasts, of the dead night, of her
disappeared children dead in the stone oceans
of the Atacama desert.
