Zwischen den blauen Wasserjungfern
meiner Töchter, mit nichts fertig,
allem ähnlich, werkstattlos.
»Weil ich Farben liebe, ist für mich
alles schwer«, sagt die Wasserjungfer
und flattert zwischen Irisblüten und lugt aus nach ihrer Freundin.
Und dann, dem Stängel entlang,
begleitet sie sie zum Zug und die Iris
entrollt in ihren Spuren ein Blatt.
Gewöhnlich bin ich bis zu den Augen im Fluss,
den ganzen Tag, ich mache mir Notizen.
Und nachts offeriere ich meiner Frau ein blaues
Glied, weich, grünlich angehaucht.
Es umflattert die Iris
und stellt sich den Stängel vor.

Among the blue damselflies
of my daughters, nothing finished,
one of a crowd, & no workshop.
“Because I love colors, for me
everything’s hard,” says the damselfly,
tumbling in irises, watching for his girl,
and then along the stalk he accompanies
her to the train and the iris
rolls up a leaf in her footprints.
Usually, I’m up to my eyes in the river,
all day, and I take notes.
And in the evening I offer my wife
my soft blue member, with green tints.
She tumbles through the iris,
imagining the stalk.
