Es kommt so viel Fleisch vor in meinen Alpträumen,
dass ich verschwitzt erwache, als hätte ich dich
in Indiens feuchte Jahreszeit hineingelassen, und ich erinnere
mich nur an Gerüche – der Klang deiner Stimme, die Sitar –
und ich, majestätische Kuh, bringe mich dem Tag als Opfer dar.
