Arne Rautenberg was born in Kiel in 1967. He studied literature and art history and worked as a literary critic.
Rautenberg works regularly as a literary critic for newspapers and radio stations. Since 2006 he is teaching at the art school in Kiel.
In 1996 he published his first volume of poetry called “Neondämmerlicht”, soon followed by a second volume “Dar Ernst dis Lobuns”. 2004 saw the publication of his latest volume of poetry “einblick in die erschaffung des rades”, which contains poems in circular form.

He has also written a novel called “Der Sperrmüllkönig”. His work was awarded with several literary prizes.
