Sonja Manojlović est née le 15 mars 1948 à Zagreb, en Croatie.

Elle a étudié la philosophie et la littératue comparée à la faculté de philosophie de l'Université de Zagreb.

Ses poèmes sont parus dans plusieurs anthologies et ont été traduits dans quinze langues. Elle a obtenu de nombreux prix pour son oeuvre poétique.
