Rosa Oliveira was born in Viseu. She has published the essays «Paris 1937» and «Tragédias Sobrepostas: Sobre “O Indesejado” de Jorge de Sena», was a lecturer in Portuguese at the University of Barcelona and is now a polytechnic teacher.

«Cinza», her first book of poetry (Tinta-da-China, 2013), was awarded the PEN Clube Prize for a First Work. «Tardio», also published by Tinta-da-China in 2017, received the Inês de Castro Foundation Literary Prize 2017.

She has had poems published in the literary publications “Relâmpago”, “Colóquio-Letras”, “Suroeste” (Badajoz, 2016), “Cidade Nua”, “Eufeme”, “Nervo”, “Lógos” and “Metëoro“ (São Paulo, 2019) and in the anthologies “Voo Rasante” (Mariposa Azual, 2015), «Manu Scripta» (SPA/ Glaciar, 2018) and «Os cem melhores poemas portugueses dos últimos cem anos» (Companhia das Letras, 2017) and “Mujeres Poetas – Voces de Portugal Y Mexico”, (Ediciones Eteros Malabares, 2018). She also had a short story published in the magazine “Granta 8” (Tinta-da-China, 2016).
