Mohamad Al-Harthy was born on May 30, 1961 in Oman. He is a poet, an author and a traveler. For his book Eye and Wing he has been awarded with the Ibn-Batuta-Prize for travel literature. Since 1992 Al-Harthy has published four collections of poems. After fighting cancer for a long time Mohamad Al-Harthy died on May 27, 2018 at the age of 50.
