Malte Persson is poet, writer, critic and translator.

He has lived in Mora, Göteborg, Stockholm and lives today in Berlin.

Persson made his debut with the novel Livet på den här planeten (Life on this planet) in 2002. He has published three books of poems: Apolloprojektet (The Apolloproject, 2004), Dikter (Poems, 2007) and Underjorden (The Underground, 2011), a collection of sonetts about Stockholms underground. In 2008 he published the historical novel Edelcrantz förbindelser (Edelcrantz’ connections) which was, like a couple of years before Livet på den här planeten, nominated for the prize of the best Swedish novel of the year.

Persson has translated writers such as Francis Ponge and Thomas Kling into Swedish. He also writes literary criticism in “Expressen” among other newpapers and magazines.
