Ljubomir Simović was born December 12, 1935, in Užice. Graduated from the Belgrade Philological Faculty, Department of History of Yugoslav Literature and Serbo-Croat Language. Writes poems, plays, essays, prose. His plays were staged in more than 30 theaters, in France, Canada, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, South Korea, Macedonia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia. In 1988 he became a corresponding member and in 1994 a regular member of the SASA.
