Greágóir Ó Dúill is poet and critic.

Born in Dublin, he was raised in Co. Antrim and educated at St Malachy’s College, Belfast, and QUB, proceeding to UCD and Maynooth for postgraduation in Irish. He worked as a teacher and civil servant before becoming literary editor of Comhar and he was appointed research officer to Poetry Ireland in 1993. His collections of poetry include Innilt Bhóthair (1981), Dubhthrian (1985), Blaoscoileán (1988), and Saothrú an Ghoirt (1994). An anthology of contemporary Ulster poetry in Irish (1986) was followed by a literary biography, Samuel Ferguson: Beatha agus Saothar (1993).
