Daan Doesborgh was born in 1988 in Stejl, Netherlands. He has been touring Europe as a performance poet since 2005. He won the Dutch National Poetry Slam Championship in 2010, and gave lectures on poetry at the universities of Berlin, Turin, Warwick and Amsterdam. In 2008 he published his first volume of poetry called De reeds beweende liefdes van Daan Doesborgh (The already bewoed loves of Daan Doesborgh), followed by De Venus Suikerspin (The Venus cotton candy) in 2010.

Together with fellow Dutch poet Ellen Deckwitz he is on stage as the performance duo L&D.
