Hedva Harechavi (b. 1941 on Kibbuz Degania B., Israel) is a painter and poet. She graduated from the Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem and, as well as her own artistic work, has dedicated herself to working with menatlly-ill children and adults in artistic projects in the City of Jerusalem.

Her lyrical voice is always passionate, obsessive and relentless. She lays bare with clarity and sensitivity the tears and fractures of the inner world of human beings, reflecting on the fragility and strength of life.

Harechavi has published four collections of poetry. Her poems have been translated into English, Russian and Arabic and published in anthologies.

She has won several literary prizes for her work, including the well-known Prime Minister Prize and the Eshkol Award for Creativity and Poetry. Her debut collection earned her the First Publication Prize.
