Blanca Llum Vidal (1986) was born in Barcelona, grew up in Casserres (Berguedà) and now lives in Vall de Moc in Collserola. Whenever possible, she takes refuge in Felanitx (Mallorca): a place of anarchy and sheepfolds. When she enrolled in Biology, she was told she was a maverick. A year later she gave it up to study Social Work and Catalan Philology. She has a Master’s in Contemporary Thinking with a thesis on Thomas the Obscure by Maurice Blanchot and Existence and Existents by Emmanuel Lévinas.
She has translated La Doleur by Marguerite Duras (LaBreu Edicions) with Arnau Pons. She has edited the stories of Víctor Català (Club Editor) and the poetry of Àngel Guimerà (Edicions 1984), and she was commissioned to create an anthology of feminist essays by Maria Aurèlia Capmany (ARA Llibres). She regularly writes for the cultural and political weekly El Temps.

She has published La cabra que hi havia, Nosaltres i tu, Homes i ocells, Visca!, Punyetera flor, Maripasoula (chronicle of a journey to French Guyana), Aquest amor que no és u / Este amor que no es uno (translation by Berta García Faet) and Amor a la brega.
