Alí Calderón was born in Mexico City in 1982. He is a poet, essayist and a literary critic.
In 2004, he got the National Poetry Prize Ramón López Velarde. He was Scholarship Holder of the first generation of the Foundation for the Mexican Letters in the area poetry. In 2003, he won the Interuniversity Essay Prize in the Puebla State.
Currently he is making a master degree in Mexican Literature at the BUAP.
