Alen Brlek, was born in Zagreb in 1988, grew up in Istria and currently lives in Dugo Selo near Zagreb. As an external collaborator, he represents the Croatian Writers' Union in its partnership with the European poetry platform Versopolis. Brlek is the author of three volumes of poetry, and his poems have been included in several national and international anthologies and translated into more than 10 languages. Brlek received the Na vrh jezika award (2013) and the Mali Kvirin award (2020).
Together with other Croatian poets and Turkish colleagues, he participated in a program for the translation of Turkish poetry in 2018.
