                                                                                                                                     sich her

[Weeks anchor on stumps of good antenae]

inglés

Weeks anchor on stumps of good antenae and my deamon is still sleeping, sleeping
I’ve sewn my stockings to the carpet so as not to run away from here
Run where—into the future? Future
is a widow of death, she tugs a rope of a beard behind her
She cuts trees
into stumps
(future is a she, not he. No, not the vain he).
Meanwhile the Fate spins junk, looms clutter, tosses clumps of dump.
Fate trows all that clatter at us. For example, hazel rods
for squirrel accidents. Rattles. Gossips. Countenances
on resin pinewood.
All is tossed at us
humans.
Weeks anchor on stumps of good antennae.
How the fir tree scratches us.
How I almost torch my
vessel, my body. But it doesn‘t get far, it marches and does not get far, but it will all be goo—

galane

FANCY MEN

inglés

And if Casanova had known
that his name in German is NEWHOUSE
he would not flutter
himself
and would have started a family at thrity three,
a job with the best insurance company in town, would have volunteered
at the church in Friuli province
and nailed all the old relationship boxes tight shut.

Had Newhouse known
that his name in Italian is CASANOVA
he would hurriedly
abandon wife and children,
hang the accountant job on the nail and confess
to being
a shoe-fetishist and begin a detailed record
of his illustrious
achievements as persuer of skirts.

ESCAPING A SESTINA

inglés

December 81. Government of Jaruzelski closes all borders
of gentileland. A woman sprays
herring broth—deliberately—on the stairs and in the garden.
Yes ,because of fish-stink we flee the country. In Westphalia
among cars, riflemen, cows we are waiting
for the broth. It will boil. Keep waiting. It will boil. Don’t be afraid.

Volkswagens. Silverpassats, made of gold, a child’s tear.
Clay mountains. I vomit on the car. Poldi’s transporter
hurtles into the shop. No one is waiting
for us, icecream volkswagen roasts in the garden
Father imposes fermatta on the hollow.
And somewhere it is still December, Jaruzelski still closes the borders.

Where is it again, my Westphalia, gentle garden of smoke in backyards,
where is Mrs. Werners,
and Madames Utes and Kernebergs, and Mr. Deuschauto
in what country, in what garden,
in what gray?
Jaruzelski shuts borders. Rality opens his veins. A child boasts.

In public toilet before the antifa cadre, wait
because the author of this poem does not speak leader-ish, she
doesn’t spray herring soup on anyone.
Because of fish-stink we flee our country. Yes, martyrs Bloodthaers, dung tongues babble, each of us is the stupid dada artist baader, O me!
this unkind me, of venus dungballs.

Me shaking, me without medals, with whore legs,
without a country.
O me running into cult, sliding, through Westphalia
Young girl, moira travels, is just crossing, into etcetera,
quiet blood, sto-o-p,
is that the girl who was swallowed by the rooster’s head, Dr. Nasty,
where are you, with dandelines in your lisp, maria and marta,

you, who whips Poland into German-whispering grief.
A blur in which four Polish gentlemen
slap each other on the cheeks
each time one of them says freedom or I love
they are hitting each other while
whoever invented genetics in this god-forsaken country plays hockey.

Beer-lit, crocuses in the bowl, stovepipe, ah, a hole.
What is December 81? Neck snaps. A body is dropped into hole.
Ans now the city of Borde is a small cabage.
It is January: a human being grammars oneself, dies, is gone, stands
on the psychiatrist‘s scale. I
do not know who is Jaruzelski. I am this and I am that. I hang around in groups of four, I keep running,

perhaps I‘ll give birth to a dog. Perhaps the borders will open. I cart the children. Yes, I echo dust
to dust. Ashes to ashes.

toter zyklop

tauschte mit mienchen sein fingerblut aus;

DEAD CYCLOPS

inglés

Though his left spectacles eye is brightly covered
with a bandaid, the earth is still spining

everything broken is sweetly spoken in this village, as though
powdered, earth is still flat, all

bosoms are also flat, the cows are carrying the World Atlas on their                                                                                                                              backsides
while grazing. Cows are mooing at a little calf

(which is probably why Arctica and Antarctica on the nose of the calf
are constantly running into each other).

Village life. You touch your finger to the child’s fate.
What do you hear? Outbursts. Outbursts, the stupid little orchesras of                                                                                                                         riflemen.

What do you hear? Laughter
and the hiss of this final day. Village street. Crossyeed boy‘s blinkers drop.

It’s August. A crosseye looks straight. A girl
they call lice runs in front of the car. Johhny falls off from the telegraph                                                                                                                               pole.

And though the child they call cyclops already covered his left spectacles                                                                                                                               eye
with a bandaid, the earth is still spining.

was syntaktisch, synku, sich nie binden ließe

pfui, du fiese mutter, biest du, arge hast dein kind betrogen
deine zunge, kindlein, splisst: père, quoi to ist, äquator

THIS IN THREE LANGUAGES

inglés

Three languages is too many for one mouth, my child
Work your vocal chords by chewing volkbread.
Avoid herds of empty words, tlustre, shards of slurs.
Ah, but this you already know.

Three languages are too big for your mouth, my child
One language squats in your throat, while the others
like stara poor relatives from a distant village on the edge of a parade of
obscurities, cough and bluff.

Three languages are too much, too much, child.
If you say belier, you use too much spit
If you mean wichure, your finger points at the jogging rain
Your finger stirs itself in the spittle of three families, crude

through the fleur-de-lilies. Abandon all words. Like
cuckoo children, bulbul little bullies—
these words you scratch out of three languages. You screw
them together—as they sculpt your face.

Syntax, my son, will not free you, synku, from your face.

-- And, you, nasty mother, you beast, you who cheats on her child
in one language, in another langauge, three times
in three strachy languages. This. This. This. A child who speaks three languages
speaks none.

Or is a child speaking three languages the same as three children in one

Your tongue, little child, splits, pere, quio to is, equator.

[God always wants to bread everything]

inglés

God always wants to bread everything

he digs in flour
in eggshell
in breadcrumbs

he whistles it
and sings
and what is lacking from us, each human hour,
                                                                                  each hole,

he spices. Spices and rolls.
