Poème liminaire (Un volume)
francés | Philippe Beck
Un volume
sans vieillesse
est un groupe de tuyaux
du savoir sonore
comme en amour
un tuyau secondaire sonorise quelquefois
l´orgue silencieux :
tout seul, son tube fondamental se tait.
Le tube doré et silencieux
a besoin
du tuyau secondaire
pour être public.
Il y a un tuyau
du coeur d´un auteur
au coeur d´un public ;
et ce tuyau
est le canal secondaire
d´un orgue
dans le livre.
Noyau secret de conviction :
il y a de la chaux dans la craie
qui maquille la face du clown
vedette.
Un Hercule en habit
peut bien s´armer du tube
de blanc de plomb pour peindre
le soleil,
n´empêche. Le plomb est aussi
dans l´idée du soleil.
Mais le chanteur
n´est pas seulement
comme la femelle du canari :
il doit bien chanter,
et sans hourra spirituel.
Comme dit Stevenson :
je vais publier un livre de – hum – vers.
Bien.

Drempelgedicht (Een volume)
neerlandés
Een volume
dat nog nieuw is
is een verzameling pijpen
van welluidend weten
zoals in de liefde
geeft soms een hulppijp klank
aan het stille orgel:
in zijn eentje zwijgt de grondbuis.
Om publiek te zijn
heeft de stille, vergulde buis
nood
aan de hulppijp.
Van het hart van een schrijver
naar het hart van een publiek
loopt een pijp
en die pijp
is het hulpkanaal
van een orgel
in het boek.
Geheime kern van overtuiging:
er zit kalk in het krijt
dat het gezicht van de sterclown schminkt.
Een Hercules in smoking
mag zich wapenen met de tube
loodwit om de zon
te schilderen,
niettemin. Ook het idee zon
bevat lood.
Maar de zanger
is niet alleen maar
als het kanariewijfje:
hij moet mooi zingen
en zonder spiritueel gejuich.
Zoals Stevenson zegt:
ik ga nu een boek met, euh, verzen publiceren.
Goed.

ik ben hier
hier
in een steelse pan die doldraait
en zich afvraagt
afvraagt afvraagt afvraagt
wat als en of en
want
echt
zou het zo verder kunnen
wanneer je geest openklapt
als hapering
als
mozaïekverwantschap
en
komaan zeg, dat kun je toch niet
menen
zo zit je in elkaar
er niet intrappen
dat is je natuurlijke setting
niet?
de dingen altijd anders zien
open houden
pijnbestrijding inzetten
als kennisverwerving
kennisverwerking begrijpen als
pijnbestrijding
niet alles is een taalspel
want alles is
maar niet alles is groen
he
niet alles
is
alsof het ontstond om opgeschreven
te worden

i am here
here
in a cunning pan slipping up
and wondering
wondering wondering wondering
what if and whether and
because
really
could it go on like that
when your mind unfolds
like a glitch
like
mosaic affinity
and
come on now, you can’t possibly
mean that
this is how you’re wired
not buying it
is your default setting
right?
always seeing things differently
keeping options open
deploying pain management
as knowledge acquisition
understanding knowledge processing as
pain management
not everything is a language game
because everything is
but not everything is green
you know
not everything
is
as if it just came to be

On se garde de toucher
francés | Philippe Beck
On se garde de toucher,
on fuit,
si on est sage,
le poète maniaque.
Les enfants
lui donnent
la chasse, et, imprudemment,
le suivent.
Si,
déclamant ses vers
la tête haute
et allant au hasard,
il tombe par mégarde
dans un puits ou une fosse
comme l´oiseleur
qui piste les merles,
il peut bien crier
sur tous les tons :
Au secours! holà!
citoyens!,
nul ou quasiment
ne va le tirer de là.
D´ailleurs,
comment savoir
s´il n´est pas tombé
au trou
sciemment
et s´il acceptera
de l´aide?
Empédocle
Veut passer
pour un dieu :
il se jette
de sang-froid
dans l´Etna qui chauffe,
et laisse avec vista
derrière lui,
au bord du feu
des sandales parlantes.
Sauver un poète
malgré lui,
c´est le tuer,
s´il s´est
pour de bon
intoxiqué
d´une mort magnifique
et historique.

We mijden te raken
neerlandés
We mijden te raken
aan de manische dichter,
we ontvluchten hem,
als we wijs zijn.
Kinderen
maken op hem
jacht, onbezonnen
lopen zij hem achterna.
Wanneer hij
met geheven hoofd
en op goed geluk
zijn verzen declameert
en door onoplettendheid
in een put of gracht valt,
zoals de vogelaar
die naar merels spiedt,
mag hij het in alle toonaarden
uitschreeuwen:
Help! hola!
burgers!,
maar nauwelijks iemand
redt hem uit de brand.
Trouwens,
wie weet
is hij wel
met opzet
in het gat gevallen
en aanvaardt hij
geen hulp?
Empedokles
wil doorgaan
voor een god:
hij gooit zich
koelbloedig
in de kokende Etna
en laat met vooruitziende blik
aan de rand van het vuur
een paar sprekende sandalen staan.
Zijns ondanks
een dichter redden
is hem vermoorden,
wanneer hij zich
daadwerkelijk
heeft vergiftigd
met een grootse,
historische dood.
