Der Weg hat Löcher. Die Erde hat Löcher.
Ich geh meines Wegs und bemerke: die Stiefel haben Löcher.
Da gucken die Socken raus, die haben Löcher,
ich seh und weiß es, denn mein Schädel hat Löcher.

Wenn Regen aufs Wasser fällt, hat das Wasser Löcher.
Die Tropfen prasseln, ich höre es, denn meine Ohren haben Löcher:
ich bleib stehen und atme, denn meine Nase hat Löcher,
ich gehe weiter und denke. Ja, meine Gedanken haben Löcher.

Meine Wörter haben Löcher. Laotse meinte, das wichtigste
sei Leere - - aber sag, mein Freund,
wozu Leere, wenn da nicht die ganze Zeit
Loch an Loch ist? Große Löcher. Kleine Löcher.

Das Sein besteht aus Löchern. Geburt und Tod sind Löcher.
Die Schwarzen Löcher im Weltraum - - vielleicht kommt man da raus,
irgendwohin, wo vielleicht Löcher anderer Art sind.
Auswege sind Löcher. Mund, Herz, Gedärm - - Löcher.

There are holes in the road. There are holes in the earth.
Stepping forward I notice: there are holes in my boots.
Where there are holes, my socks show through,
I can see them, I know this because there are holes in my skull.

When rain falls into water, there are holes in the water.
As the droplets fall, I hear them because there are holes in my ears:
I stand and breathe because there are holes in my nose,
I move forward and think. Yes, there are holes in my thoughts.

There are holes in my words. Lao-zi thought
everything necessary came from emptiness—but tell me, friend,
what use would emptiness be if it wasn’t made of
holes beside holes? Large holes. Small holes.

Holes exist. Birth and death are holes.
There are black holes in the universe—maybe there are exits
to another place made of holes.
Exits are holes. The mouth, the heart, the intestines are holes.

Í veginum eru holur. Í jörðinni eru holur.
Þegar ég geng áfram sé ég: á stígvélunum mínum eru holur.
Ég sé glitta í sokkana mína í gegnum holur,
ég sé þá, ég veit það vegna þess að í hauskúpunni á mér eru holur.

Útgönguleiðir eru holur. Munnurinn, hjartað, þarmarnir – holur.

Táto cesta je samá diera. Celá zem plná dier.
Každým krokom vidím viac: aj topánky mám deravé.
Cez diery sa mi aj ponožky derú na svetlo.
Vidím čo vidím len preto, lebo aj v lebke mám pár dier.

Stačí pár kvapiek a diery vznikajú aj vo vode.
Počujem, ako to vzniká, kvapka za kvapkou, lebo aj uši mám deravé:
Dokážem postáť a dýcham, lebo aj v nose som objavil pár dier.
Idem a myslím. Myslím, že sa predieram dierami.

Veď diery mám aj v slovách. Lao Ce mal tiež jednu takú myšlienku,
že všetko môže vniknúť iba z prázdnoty – ale povedzme si úprimne, priatelia,
čo by to bolo za prázdnotu, keby nebola celá
iba z dier. Celý vesmír dier. Diera na diere. Dieriská. Dierky.

Diery proste sú. Životodarne všeobjímajúce. Zrodenie aj smrť sú diery.
Aj každý kozmos definuje iba diera, ehm, čierna – onen povestný otvor
do iných končín plných dier.
A nakoniec aj vývody a východy sú len diery. Srdce, ústa, vnútornosti, všetko samá diera.

V cesti so luknje. V zemlji so luknje.
Ko stopim naprej, opazim: v mojih škornjih so luknje.
Vidi se moje nogavice, kjer so v škornjih luknje,
vidim jih in vem, ker so v moji lobanji luknje.

Ko dež pada na vodo, so v vodi luknje.
Kapljice udarjajo, slišim jih, ker so v mojih ušesih luknje:
stojim in diham, ker so v mojem nosu luknje,
premaknem se in premišljujem. Ja, v mojih mislih so luknje.

V mojih besedah so luknje. Laozi je menil,
da vse neizogibno prihaja iz praznine. Ampak, prijatelj,
povej mi, kako uporabna bi bila praznina, če ne bi bila
narejena iz luknje ob luknji. Velike luknje. Majhne luknje.

Obstoj so luknje. Rojstvo in smrt sta luknji.
Črne luknje v vesolju – izhodi
v druge prostore, ki so narejeni iz lukenj.
Izhodi so luknje. Usta, srce, črevesje – luknje.

路上有洞。地上有洞。

向前一步我便發現：我鞋子有洞。

破洞的地方，襪子露了出來，

我看得到，那是因為我的頭顱上有洞。

當雨落入水中，水面便產生洞。

我聽見雨滴，因為耳中有洞。

我站著呼吸因為鼻子有洞，

我前行，我思索。沒錯，我的思想中有洞。

我的話語中有洞。老子如是認為

萬有均生於無──但是能不能告訴我

無有什麼用？倘若無中不是比鄰著

一個又一個，大大小小的洞？

洞無所不在。生與死都自洞中去來。

宇宙中也有黑洞──或許

有些洞是通往其它世界的出口。

出口也是洞。嘴巴、心、排泄孔也全都是洞。
