Slobodan Marković (Alias Libero Marconi), born in 1928 in Skopje, where his father Dimitrije been serving as an officer in the army. He spent his childhood in Peć (on Kosovo), and in Belgrade, where he graduated in Second Belgrade Gymnasium. In 1943 he was detained in a camp in Smederevo. Some of his books of poems are "Seven midnight narratives through the keyhole," "Once in town who knows whom" (1980). He has published 62 books and two more were printed after his death: "South Boulevard" and "Write that down, Libero", which was prepared by his wife Ksenija Šukuljević-Marković. He also worked on translation, was a journalist in daily newspaper "Borba", painter and bohemian. For the book "Luka" won the „Jovan Jovanović Zmaj“ Award 1975. He wrote the screenplay for the famos Serbian film „Boxers go to heaven“. He died on January 30, 1990 and was buried in the Alley of Distinguished Citizens at the New Cemetery in Belgrade in the same grave, along to famous poet Milos Crnjanski, also represented in Lyrikline.
