Pierre Lartigue was born in 1936. He studied Spanish, and is now a poet, essayist, novelist, and passionate about dancing.
He has published in various journals, such as Action Poétique, les lettres Francaises, Po&sie. Pierre Lartigue created L’Avant Scène Ballet Danse. He writes dance reviews for l’Humanité and he is the author of articles on the subjects of ballet and choreographers in the Encyclopedia Universalis. He has translated John Cage’s Le livre des champignons as well as Les moitiés, written by Ramon Gomez de la Serna (in collaboration with Florence Delay). He has also translated the poetry of Gabriel Celaya, J.V. foix, Joan Brossa, and Saul Yurkievich, among others.
