Haasjoki's poems can be called thoughtful and philosophical and at the same time rooted in detail and communicated experience. Her language is clear with a flowing syntactic rhythm, which creates the landscape for the inevitable twist and unexpected statement. Her poems are abundant in animals, plants and cosmological trivia.
