Lisette Lombé (b. 1978) is a Belgian-Congolese artist. She creates poetic objects (texts, collages, performances, installations) that take us on a journey between Europe and Africa.
For several years she has been sharing her love of poetry by running writing workshops that have taken her from Belgium to Iraq, Congo, Senegal, Canada and Morocco.
She is the founder of L-SLAM, a collective for female poets, and won second place in the Prix Paroles Urbaines (2015) and third place in the Grand Poetry Slam National français (2017).
She was a teacher and job coach, writes for women's magazines and organises cultural events. For her work as an activist, she was appointed Honorary Citizen of the City of Liège in 2017.
Lisette Lombé is the author of two books (Black Words and La magie du burn-out) combining collages and poetic texts.
