11 (FRAGMENTOS, Pt. I)

Hay dos sonidos de los cuales debes saber
el sonido propiamente tal y la ausencia de él

Un simple asunto de forma y contenido

El grito y el silencio que viene después
y el silencio y el grito que lo precede

¿Le da forma al grito, el silencio que lo rodea?

o ¿está el silencio enfatizado por el grito que ocurre entre dos
silencios?


Teniendo presente:

1º .- La gravísima crisis económica, social y moral que está
destruyendo al país;


con el compromiso patriótico:

de restaurar la chilenidad                            (quebrantada)
de restaurar la justicia                                  (quebrantada)
de restaurar la institucionalidad               (quebrantada)

conscientes de que ésta es la única forma:

               de ser fieles a las tradiciones nacionales
               de ser fieles al legado de los Padres de la Patria
               de ser fieles a la Historia de Chile

conscientes de que ésta es la única forma:

de permitir que la evolución y el progreso           del país
se encaucen

- Por haber ocultado bajo tierra una cantidad de 15 armas,
 abundante munición y explosivos
- Por haber participado como Instructor de Guerrillas en la zona
- Por sustraer explosivos a viva fuerza
- Por incitar a los mineros a apoderarse de los polvorines
- Por incitar a oponer resistencia armada
- Por haber participado en la adquisición y distribución de armas
 de fuego
- Por haberle encontrado explosivos enterrados

Bei zwei Klängen musst du unterscheiden

zwischen dem eigentlichen Klang und seinem Ausbleiben


Eine einfache Frage von Form und Inhalt


Der Schrei und die Stille, die darauf folgt

und die Stille und der Schrei, der ihr vorangeht


Verleiht die Stille, die den Schrei umgibt, ihm Form?


Oder wird die Stille verstärkt durch den Schrei zwischen Stille und Stille?




Unter Berücksichtigung:


1. Der sehr ernsten wirtschaftlichen, sozialen und moralischen Krise, die das Land zugrunde richtet;



der patriotischen Verpflichtung:


                    die (zerstörte)                           Chilenität wiederherzustellen

                    die (zerstörte)                           Gerechtigkeit wiederherzustellen

                    die (zerstörte)                           institutionelle Ordnung wiederherzustellen 


im Bewusstsein, dass dies die einzige Form ist:


                    der nationalen Tradition                                            treu zu sein

                    dem Vermächtnis der Väter des Vaterlandes            treu zu sein

                    der Geschichte Chiles                                              treu zu sein


im Bewusstsein, dass dies die einzige Form ist:


um die Entwicklung und den Fortschritt des Landes wieder

Carlos Soto Román (Valparaíso,1977) is a pharmacist, poet and translator. He holds a Master of Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania. He has published in Chile: La Marcha de los Quiltros (1999), Haikú Minero (2007), Cambio y Fuera (2009), 11 (2017), Densidad d=m/v (2018) and Antuco (2019).

He resided in Philadelphia, PA where he was a member of The New Philadelphia Poets collective, student of the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University and also was a MacDowell fellow. In the United States he has published: Philadelphia’s Notebooks (Otoliths, 2011), Chile Project: [Re-Classified] (Gauss PDF, 2013), The Exit Strategy (Belladonna, 2014), Alternative Set of Procedures (Corollary Press, 2014), Bluff (Commune Editions, 2018) and Common Sense (Make Now, 2019). In the UK he has published Nature of Objects (Pamenar Press, 2019). He was the curator of the cooperative anthology of U.S. poetry Elective Affinities.
