20th Anniversary of Lyrikline 2019!

Lyrikline was launched in November 1999 and is older than Wikipedia and almost as old as Google.

We celebrated this 20th birthday all year round. Together with our international partners, we organised many events in Berlin and beyond from January to December 2019.

Dec 7, 2019, 6.00 pm, Strumica, North Macedonia
20th Lyrikline Anniversary

Reading at South Side, Strumica
The final birthday event in the year of Lyrikline's 20th anniversary will take place in the North-Macedonian town of Strumica. Our Macedonian partner, who organised this reading invited young Macedonian poets: Nina Andova Shopova, Ice Belichev, Marieta Dukic, Mitko Gogov, Ana Golejshka Djikova, Josip Kocev, Suzana Miceva, Katerina Panov Kozharov, Ivan Shopov, Biljana Stojanovska, Snezana Stojchevska, Julijana Velichkovska and Gjoko Zdraveski. The event is presented by Nikola Madzirov. They will also listen to historic Macedonian voices and selected international poets on Lyrikline. The event is supported by the Ministry of Culture of North Macedonia.

Reading & Talk in German @ Haus für Poesie, Berlin  
For 2019 we had asked Daniela Danz to name four German-language poets whom she misses on Lyrikline. Her choice: Steffen MenschingHeinrich DeteringRalf Meyer and André Schinkel. On this evening, Daniela Danz will present these four authors, who will also be invited to the recording studio of Lyrikline and will later be uploaded on Lyrikline.

The Petőfi Irodalmi Literaturmuseum, our Hungarian network partner, is organising a reading on the occasion of Lyrikline's anniversary in Budapest. In addition to readings by various poets, the event also commemorates Julianna Wernitzer, who had the Hungarian partnership with Lyrikline in her hands until her death in 2017.
