Marcus Roloff, born 1973 in Neubrandenburg (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern), poet, prose writer and translator, studied German language and literature, philosophy and cultural studies at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Literary publications since 1997 in literary journals, anthologies and daily newspapers. Poetry translations from American (Kenneth Koch; John Ashbery; Peter Orlovsky) and Spanish (Rafael Cadenas; Adalber Salas Hernández) with G. Gutiérrez. His own texts have been translated into English, Czech, Romanian, Greek, Dutch and Spanish. In 2009 he was awarded a Künstlerhaus Schloss Wiepersdorf scholarship from the state of Brandenburg, in 2010 he came second at the "lauter niemand Prize for Political Poetry". His most recently books include "reinzeichnung" (published by Das Wunderhorn, 2015) and "waldstücke" (published by Gonzoverlag, 2017). He lives in Frankfurt am Main.
