Joanna Mueller, born 1979 in Piła, is — in her own words — a poet, critic, editor, mother. She is the author of four volumes of poetry: "Somnambóle fantomowe" (Kraków 2003), "Zagniazdowniki/Gniazdowniki" (Kraków 2007, nominated for the Gdynia Literary Prize), "Wylinki" (Wrocław 2010), and "Intima thule" (Wrocław 2015), as well as two collections of essays: "Stratygrafie" (about avant-garde poetry, Wrocław 2010) and "Powlekać rosnące" (about motherhood, feminism and literature, Wrocław 2013). Editor of the two women’s poetry anthologies: "Solistki. Antologia poezji kobiet (1989–2009)" (with Maria Cyranowicz and Justyna Radczyńska, Warszawa 2009) and "Warkoczami" (with Sylwia Głuszak and Beata Gula, Warszawa 2016). In April 2016 she was nominated for the Silesius Poetry Award, one of Poland's most important literary prizes. Joanna Mueller lives in Warsaw.
