David Caño was born in Olot in 1980 and lives in Barcelona since 1998. As a poet he has been awarded the Amadeu Oller Prize 2007 for "Barcelona" (Editorial Galerada, 2007), the Vila de Lloseta Prize 2009 for "He vist el futur en 4D" (Editorial Moll, 2009) and the Jocs Florals Prize of Barcelona 2019 for "Un cos preciós per destruir" (Editorial Proa, 2019).

He has also published the poems Postmortem (Editorial Tigre de Paper, 2013), "Res és ara ni això" (Edicions Terrícola, 2015) and Nictàlgia (Edicions Terrícola, 2017). He has given dozens of recitals in the Catalan Countries and in several European cities, either solo or with his musical projects (Ovidi4, Nois Tutú or Da::Ma) He has also collaborated in various publications including El Punt/Avui, Crític, Enderrock and La Directa.
