lives in: Berlin, Germany

Dana Ranga, born 1964 in Bucharest, moved to Germany in 1987. Her mother came from the former GDR and her father from Romania. She studied medicine at the University of Bucharest and semiotics, art history and film studies at the Free University in Berlin. She completed her second degree with a master's degree.

Between 1995 and 2009 she translated poetry from Romanian and English, published her own poetry in international literary magazines and made documentary films. She has written two radio plays and created radio features on poetry and literature. She was city writer of Graz 2012/2013.
