בֵּין הָעֵצִים וְהַלֹּא עֵצִים
לֹא נוֹסַעַת לְשׁוּם מָקוֹם.
אֲנִי רְעוּעָה מִכְּדֵי לַעֲקֹר
מֵהֶקְשֵׁרַי
וְהָעַצְלוּת שֶׁבִּי שׁוֹאֶפֶת לְהַתְמִיד
בְּמַצָּבָהּ,
לְהַמְשִׁיךְ וְלִשְׁכֹּן בְּמֶרְחָבָהּ הַמֻּכָּר
לִפְנוֹת עֶרֶב
עַל הַמַּדְרֵגָה
כְּשֶׁהַדִמְיוֹן שָׂבֵעַ
וְעֵינַי הַצַּיָּדוֹת נָחוֹת כְּבָר
בְּגֻמְחוֹת רֹאשִי.
מָה אָקוּם פִּתְאוֹם אֵלֵךְ
אָבוֹא אֶבְחַשׁ
בִּגְלַל פַּרְדֵּס בָּשׂוּם שֶׁאֶת נְשִׁימָתוֹ
אֲנִי נוֹשֶׁמֶת -
דֶּקֶל וִישֶׁר מוֹחֵק מִשִׁמְשַׁת הַשָׁמַיִם
מִלִּים שֶׁנִּשְׁאֲרוּ אַחֲרֵי שֶׁהָאַהֲבָה הָלְכָה
וְגַם הָעוֹרְבִים אֶחָד אֶחָד נִרְגָּעִים
לְתוֹךְ הַבְּרוֹשׁ כְּמוֹ הַדָּם
לְתוֹךְ הַשֶּקֶט,
הַמַּחֲשָׁבָה אֵינָהּ חוֹמֶדֶת
אֶת תְּכָנֶיהָ
וַאֲנִי רַק הוֹוָה פֹּה
בֵּין הָעֵצִים וְהַלֹא עֵצִים
דַּלְתִּי פְּתוּחָה לִרְוָחָה
וְהַלַּיְלָה הָרַךְ מֻזְמָן לְתוֹך הַבַּיִת -

Between the trees and the not-trees
Not going anywhere.
Too shaky to yank
from my contacts
and the laziness in me yearns to persist
in it’s position
continue to live in it’s familiar space
late afternoon
on the stoop
when imagination is content
and my huntsman eyes rest
in the recesses of my head.
Why get up suddenly walk
come stir
over a fragrant orchard whose breath
I breath -
A palm and a perpendicular erase from the sky
words that remained after love left
and the crows calm as well one by one
into the pine like the blood
into the quiet,
thought doesn’t covet
it’s content
and I am only present here
between the trees and the not-trees
my door is open wide
and the soft night invited into the house -
