ein spätes Glied der Evolutionskette, mit voll ausgebildetem Epithel und Rückgrat, sowie Zirkulationsorganen, und von einer Herkunft, die teils unbekannt, teils milanesisch ist, aber ich gestehe auch mein Abstammen von den Käferschnecken, Strudel- und Saugwürmern, dass ich einer hochentwickelten Art angehöre, aber noch nicht in der Lage bin, meinen Nächsten zu lieben, gestehe, dass selbst meine selbstlosesten Handlungen an einer Hand abgezählt werden können. Was der bleiche Himmel über mir missbilligend bezeugt hat, und dahinter feuert der Pistolenstern in alle Richtungen, während ich mich an eine Wand drücke mein Gesicht zeige, als sei es ein kosmisches Zeichen, als gewähre es mir freies Geleit.
